We’ve reached the end of the first half of our Autumn term, welcoming our children back and settling in our new EYFS children and their families. A lot of learning and fun has been had so far with a sponsored walk to raise funds for the school, as well as visitors to support our ‘Farm to Fork’ topic. You can read all about it in our half term newsletter.
Welcome back!
Below you can find an introduction letter from our new head teacher for the start of this academic year.
Summer Newsletter
We’ve finally reached the end of the academic year and we’re all a little emotional but looking forward to our summer break.
The final half term has seen the children, staff, families and community provide Mrs Nicholson with lots of love and wishes for her adventures as she leaves us after 25 years; first as a teacher and then headteaher. There have been a fair few tears, hugs and well wishes.
Our Year 2s celebrated their final week, demonstrating their amazing skills in front of the whole school, and parents and carers in their leavers assembly; as well as dancing the night away at their leavers disco. A lot of fun was had by all, including the staff! We hope you all enjoyed the week as much as we did!
In this newsletter you will find a letter from the head teacher, details on what each year group have been up to, a Maths activity and some recommended reads to keep your brain engaged until we return.
Whether you are staying home or going away during the summer, we wish you a happy and enjoyable holiday. Stay safe!
We’ll see you back at school on Wednesday 4th September.
